The M[other] 3 project involved developing the interconnections between pre-existent filmic images, a script used for live performance and a soundtrack to create an entirely new piece of work using the medium of digital video.

This film explores the relationship between the central characters of the Mother and Daughter and how the mothers descent into Altzheimers disease could be represented through the use of disjointed and disturbing imagery.

The film was made in connection with Lusty Juventus Theatre company working from a script by Chris Roberts and the visuals developed from a commission to produce the backing projection film for a series of live performances.

The text from the script and Algernon Swinburnes poem 'The sea' became fused to create an eerie sense of claustrophobic tension which emphasized the disturbing nature of the central relationship within the original script.
